The 6th joint conference of EWA/JSWA/WEF on ‘resilience of the water sector’ will take place in the city of Munich on the 15th – 18th May 2018.
With the rise of disruptive events such as floods, earthquakes and long-lasting droughts all over the world, resilience is emerging as a theme more than ever within the water sector. Many regions throughout the planet are facing strong natural disasters and are urged to protect their water resource availability by curbing damages on water quality and infrastructure. The impact of such events can be long lasting and far reaching, impacting negatively on customers, the environment, and business performance.
The joint conference is offering a platform for participants to exchange experiences and potential solutions from across the world. From real-life examples and innovative practices learned on the ground, worldwide experts will explore ways to strengthen resilience in the water sector through new systems, assets and operations and to secure that business continuity risk is well managed in the face of adverse conditions.
