WssTP recently adopted a new vision on how to solve key societal challenges related to water ‘The value of water – multiple Waters, for multiple purposes and users’. This vision of multiple use of water will lead to new mechanisms and pathways of these compounds in the environment. New approaches for managing emerging compounds and intervention are required.
That is why the WssTP Working Groups ‘Urban Water Pollution’ and ‘Emerging compounds’ took the initiative to organise a workshop on ‘Managing emerging compounds in urban areas and its surrounding hinterland’.
The aim of the workshop is to develop a research and innovation agenda and roadmap for emerging compounds in the urban water cycle within the context of the new WssTP vision on Multiple Waters. The workshop will take place on 16 and 17 January from lunch to lunch in Brussels.
